Hi, if you have wondered why it doesn't work, just replace
Report[edit]
Hello, please take a look at this report: Commons:Administrators' noticeboard#Files named with meaningless/disruptive names (motivated renaming was reverted without any valid reason) as these are serious everyday violations of the Commons rules and protection of meaningless names (in this case, Kalumny which translates as Columns). User Kazimier Lachnovič with filemover rights constantly performs violations of the Commons rules, creates instability issues and protects meaningless names, thus creates confusion. His Commons admin rights previously were lifted, but it is clear that it is not enough. -- Pofka (talk) 17:07, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I believe you have made a mistake[edit]
On 31st August you have removed this image: https://flickr.com/photos/64865925@N07/6996884540 for the reason "Unfree Flickr license".
However, if you click on the license, "Some rights reserved", it brings you here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/
According to the license this image uses, we can use this image for Wikipedia purposes since there is attribution, it is non commercial and no derivatives (no editing the image). Can you reverse the removal? RBut (talk) 03:06, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- by-nc-nd is not an acceptable license for Commons, please see Commons:Licensing#Well-known_licenses. Captain-tucker (talk) 02:10, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
About the official photo of the current president of Brazil[edit]
Hi, I would like to say that I made a mistake with the copyright code of a certain image, I made a mistake with the creative commons code, I should put it as it is on that site to submit to Wikipedia. Could you solve this error for me? The real code is this (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic (CC BY-NC-SA 2.0)) as I got the code wrong because I'm new to Wikipedia and looking to contribute to this site. Could you reverse this removal? I would appreciate it a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ecleridus (talk • contribs) 23:04, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Unfortunately CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 is not an acceptable license for Commons, please see Commons:Licensing#Well-known_licenses. The NC is not allowed here on Commons. Captain-tucker (talk) 23:07, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
Deletion question[edit]
Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Arch_Near_Louvre_Nathan_&_Miranda_Todd_(10582357403).jpg has two regular editors (I'm one of them) voting to keep and disputing the stated reason for deletion request. Could you explain a bit more why you thought this needs deletion? Thank you for your attention. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 00:47, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- The photo appears to be a personal photo and would then be out of COM:SCOPE.Captain-tucker (talk) 00:51, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks much for your prompt reply. In this case I disagree with your decision. I have listed it at Commons:Undeletion_requests/Current_requests#File:Arch_Near_Louvre_Nathan_&_Miranda_Todd_(10582357403).jpg. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 01:11, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- No problem, please let me know the results, when it decided on COM:UNDEL. Captain-tucker (talk) 01:22, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
