Fifteen different varieties of monkeys can also be spotted swinging around the canopy.

In addition to the thriving animal population, the reserve is also home to several indigenous groups, each with their own distinct customs and traditions. Some members of the indigenous communities now work as much in-demand jungle guides, generating revenue to help them maintain their communities and protect the rainforest from encroachment.
